2008 FALL SEMESTER ADMISSIONS GUIDELINES SKK GSB has a two-round admission system. Applicants are required to submit an on-line application & all necessary documents to the MBA Office during the application period of each round. All applications and documents must be submitted in English. Please submit an original copy except in unavoidable circumstance. Applicants must be submitted by the specific deadline; The MBA Office will arrange individual interviews for all applicants whose applications are complete. Admission Process Admission process in SKK GSB consists of two parts; on-line application with supplementary documents followed by an interview. While the Application Form and Essays are submitted online, other supplementary documents must be submitted by mail or in person during the period specified for each round. All application and documents should be written in English. All application will be subject to a screening process. An individual interview will be arranged only for applicants who have completed the application and submitted all necessary documents by the deadlines of each round and have met the screening criteria. Interview GMAT & TOEFL is required for a scholarship. No return of submitted documents. Transcripts and copies of diploma must be originals in English, or notarized translations into English. APPLICATION FORM Applicants will need to create ID and password on the ABM system to enable them to complete the online application at any time. Please fill out the fields which are applicable to you. A photo should be uploaded. Applicants whose nationality is the Republic of Korea will fill out an additional form for the correct spelling of their names and other Korean information. Please refer to Others Applicants interested in financial aid should complete this financial application. When you fill out this form, it will be automatically sent to SKK GSB Office by e-mail. ESSAYS Use the essays to tell us more about you. Please select experiences or events from the past one to two years for each essay. Essays must be written by the applicant with no external assistance. You can find five topics for an essay in the ABM system. The maximum length of an essay for each topic is 300 words. Applicants can submit essays on the ABM system. Essay topics and online submission will be followed by the online application form. RECOMMENDATIONS Please obtain more than one recommendation on your behalf from individuals who are able to provide specific opinions to the following questions, which you can download: Please define your relationship to the candidate and describe the circumstances under which you have known her or him. What are the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses when interacting with peers and people at positions lower than the candidate in the organization? What observations have you made concerning the applicant’s leadership abilities, team and / or group skills? (Optional) If you have any additional comments that you think we should know about the candidate, please feel free to add them. Recommenders must mail the recommendation(s) back to the applicant. The applicant must then submit recommendation(s) in the application package. (We suggest that applicants provide a self-addressed and stamped envelope to the recommender.) Then, the applicant must submit recommendation(s) to the SKK GSB Office with other application package. A TRANSCRIPT AND COPY OF DIPLOMA Applicants are required to submit the transcripts and copies of diplomas from each institution from which they received a degree. Additionally, transfer students must submit documents from each school attended. Transcripts and copies of diploma must be originals in English, or notarized translations into English. For applicants graduating in 2008, the deadline for submission of original submission of original transcripts & diplomas in August 30th, 2008. SKK GSB has not set a minimum guideline for undergraduate GPA scores, nor does it admit applicants based on a single outstanding item, such as excellent undergraduate GPA scores. ENGLISH TEST SCORE & GMAT Score All applicants are required to submit at least one score among TOEFL(iBT,CBT,PBT), TOEIC and TEPS which you received within 2 years. The GMAT is optional for all applicants and applicants with high scores will be preferred. But, if you wish to apply for a scholarship, both GMAT and TOEFL score are required. GMAT - The scores can be received directly from Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) or Educational Testing Service (ETS). The institution code for SKK GSB is B7S-F2-24. TOEFL - The scores can be received directly from Educational Testing Service (ETS). The Institution code of SKK GSB is 8713. Applicants whose undergraduate degrees are from institutions with English as the medium of instruction will receive favorable consideration without TOEFL test. OTHERS "Others" does not mean less important. Applicants must pay attention to requests for other documents and make sure that those are submitted to the MBA Office in the application package. - A Photocopy of passport - Three passport - sized color photos - Forms to verify the authenticity of documents  : To verify the applicants' transcripts and copies of diplomas issued by institutions, the MBA office will send the forms with the submitted copies of the documents to the institutions. - Receipt of Application Fee - Application form only for Koreans  : Applicants with the nationality of Republic of Korea must fill out this form for the correct spelling of their names and other Korean information. - Working Experience Certificate INTERVIEW No applicant is admitted without an interview. Interviews are arranged only for applicants who have submitted the application & all documents by the deadlines of each round, and passed the screening process. Interviews are conducted in English and preferably, in person. If you are living in abroad, please contact to the MBA office for an interview.
